📱 Real Life Isn't on a Screen — Value Your Wife, Children, and Parents

📱 Is Your Life on a Screen or in Reality?

One of the most silent yet damaging habits of our time is staying engrossed in our phone while sitting next to the people who love us most. Once upon a time, people shared smiles, stories, and their hearts face-to-face. Now? We sit together, but our hearts are miles apart — separated by a glowing screen.

❤️ Giving Time to Your Wife: The Foundation of True Love

Your wife is not just your spouse; she is your emotional partner, your best friend, your supporter. Yet many husbands, after a tiring day, give their phones more attention than their wives. When she wants to talk, laugh, or share her day, you are scrolling endlessly.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “The best of you are those who are best to their families, and I am the best among you to my family.” (Tirmidhi: 3895)

Think about it — when she is speaking and you are distracted by your phone, how disrespected and unwanted she must feel? Real love grows with presence, not just proximity.

👶 Your Children Need Your Eyes, Not Just Your Voice

Children don’t remember the toys you buy — they remember the time you spent, the laughs you shared, and the love you gave. But what do they often hear?

"Not now, I’m busy!" — while we scroll through social media.

Childhood doesn’t last forever. If you don't give them attention today, tomorrow they might grow distant. Look at them, play with them, answer their endless questions. One moment of presence is worth more than a thousand distracted replies.

👵 Parents: The Doors to Paradise

Our parents gave up sleep, comfort, and time so we could grow. And now when they want to talk, we’re “present” — but not really. We're on our phones, nodding without listening.

Allah says in the Quran: “And be kind to your parents...” (Surah An-Nisa: 36)

Listening with love is a form of worship. Don’t let them feel alone while you're physically there but mentally absent.

☕ Be Present in Every Moment

Whether you’re at home, in a café, or at a restaurant — make the people around you feel seen. The ones you love are not on your phone — they are right in front of you. Value their presence before it becomes a memory.

💔 Before It's Too Late...

Often when you're finally “done” with your phone and turn your attention to your loved ones — it’s already too late. The wife has gone silent. The children have gone to bed. The parents are staring into nothingness, waiting for a response that never came.

📌 Conclusion

Put your phone aside…

  • Listen to your wife with your heart.
  • Play with your children with your full focus.
  • Look at your parents with love and attention.

Because real life is happening around you — not inside your phone.
